Okan Yildiz is associate professor in the division of Land Management, Department of Geomatics Engineering, Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey. From 1996 until 1998, he worked as a surveying engineer for private sector. Between 1998 and 2014, he worked as geomatics engineer at General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, Turkey. He received PhD degree with thesis entitled "Structure of Turkish cadastre and new approach for multi-purpose cadastre" in 2013. His areas of expertise are land management, land registry, cadastre, 3D cadastre, land readjustment, land consolidation. Since 2014, he has been working for his university as a lecturer.
