Dr. Bilge Kaan Tekelioğlu has been working since 1996 as a qualified veterinary practitioner and academician. At 2002 he has completed his PhD thesis and after this date he has been studying on viral infections diagnostics and medication majorly. He has been consulted more than 30.000 patients ranged from pet animals to farm, exotic aquatic and wild animals. He has been working on ‘One Health One Medicine’ since 1999. He is a volunteer specialist of disasters and survivals since this date. He has worked actively on 1999 Adapazarı, 2000 Kaynaşlı earthquakes and 2003-2004 SARS pandemic. He is a member of European Resuscitation Council since 2004 and still a Course Coordinator and Instructor. He is currently acting as Faculty Coordinator of an implementation project on ‘Animal Health and Trans Boundary Animal Diseases: Essential Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics & TAD Sero-Surveillance in Northern Syria’, funded by UN-FAO since 2017. He is serving at the provincial COVID-19 pandemic board of Adana city. He has published scientific papers and books; a) Horse Viral Diseases and b) 4 parts in a lecture book. He is currently finalizing a book on Disaster Management with his colleagues. He has lectured at state and private Universities. He is a faculty member of Cukurova University Biotechnology Institute. Till this date, he has directed 6 high budget implementation projects and 2 research projects and joined to 4 research projects and 1 high budget implementation project as researcher. He is supervising 1 PhD and 3 Ms thesis currently. He has been working as the Vice Dean of Çukurova University Faculty of Ceyhan Veterinary Medicine since 2018. He is married and has 2 children.
