Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
1. The work submitted for publishing must not have been previously published or submitted to another magazine at the same time. Each program can be launched after the prior one has been completed. Izmir Democracy University Journal of Social Sciences does not accept previously published material.
2. Authors cannot have their work submitted to more than one publication at the same moment. Each program can be launched after the prior one has been completed. Work that has previously appeared in another publication is not permitted to be submitted to the journal.
3. Authors must use and/or cite in a full and precise manner in order to profit from or use other studies. When composing citations and bibliographies, the APA 6 editorial standards should be followed.
4. The author(s) are aware that all entries are reviewed by similarity recognition tools at any time during the peer-review or publishing process.
5. If all work filed for publication constitutes a conflict of interest, it should be stated.
6. The editor(s) may require raw data on their evaluation process framing; in this case, the author(s) should be prepared to give the anticipated data and information to the editor(s).
7. The author(s) must work with the editor to notify, fix, or remove the journal editor or publication if he or she discovers a mistake or error in his or her early published or evaluated work.
8. The author(s) must provide proof that they have the required approvals, including ethical committee approval if necessary, to use the data, study/measurement tools/analyses.
9. Authors are accountable for ensuring that their works follow ethical guidelines. If the work was completed after ethics committee approval, any necessary permission documents from local and international ethics committees must be included with the manuscript, and the author must ensure that the manuscript includes a statement stating that the work was approved by the ethics committee.
10. All money contributions should be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgements" part.
11. The author is exclusively responsible for any statements or views stated in manuscripts published in Izmir Democracy University Journal of Social Sciences.

Plagiarism Rules
All papers submitted to Izmir Democracy University Journal of Social Sciences will be checked for plagiarism using the Ithenticate program. Manuscripts with shortened reference sections that have a similarity score of 15% or higher will be refused, and the writers will be notified and provided a plagiarism report.

Publication Ethics
It is an online peer-reviewed magazine that issues original study papers, review articles, and theoretical manuscripts. Izmir Democracy University Journal of Social Sciences accepts entries in English or Turkish on scholarly and scientific practices, methods, applied research studies, critical evaluations on key issues, and the creation of new technologies and instruments in social science and education research.
All manuscripts submitted by the author(s) are subject to early evaluation by the section editors before being subjected to double-blind peer review by at least two impartial and expert reviewers. At least two referees must concur on publishing the work for the paper to be published. This publication provides instant open access to its material on the basis that making research openly accessible to the public promotes greater global knowledge sharing.
The ethical principles and rules below have been prepared according to the ''Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors'' directive of the Committee on Publication Ethics - (https://publicationethics.org/files/Code_of_conduct_for_journal_editors_Mar11.pdf). Based on these ethical principles and rules, the ethical responsibilities, roles, and duties of the editor with the publisher, referees, authors, and reader are explained.

Conflicts of interest
Editors have a conflict of interest management system in place with the editorial board, reviewers, writers, and journal employees.
Izmir Democracy University Journal of Social Sciences seeks a "conflict of interest statement" from all stakeholders for this purpose.
