The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between emotional deafness and internet addiction levels of university students. For this purpose, data was collected from 308 students at the Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Health Management. The data of the study was obtained through a questionnaire the Emotional Deafness (Alexithymia) (Kemerli ve Çelik, 2015) and the Internet Addiction Scale (Günüç, 2009) and questions about internet and social media usage. According to the findings of the study, the majority of the students used the internet every day and spent time between 3 to 6 hours on the internet on average. In addition, as internet addiction increases; it was found that the students had difficulty in recognizing and verbalizing emotions, and not only had a difficulty in recognizing the emotions of the people around them but also had a hard time to discern their emotions.
