Normal Ocular Fundus Imaging with D-Eye Ophthalmoscope in Honamlı Goat Breed

Yıl 2020, Cilt: 13 Sayı: 1, 65 - 69, 30.06.2020

It is very important to show the ocular fundus, which is useful in identifying some systemic and hereditary diseases in farm animals. However, herd-based ophthalmoscopic scanning in farm animals is quite difficult under field conditions. In this study, it was explained that it is a practical application to display the ocular fundus on a herd basis by using the D-EYE® system. In the study, the ocular fundus images of the Honamlı goat breed, which had superior features especially in terms of morphological, fertility and growth characteristics, were taken. With this study, normal ophthalmoscopic fundus views of Honamlı goats were presented and contributed to the literature.
