Esthetic dental treatments have been widely applied by physicians currently due to increased patient demand. Improving the appearance of the smile is one of the main reasons of the patients to prefer dental treatment. Especially with the esthetic treatments made in the anterior region, a beautiful smile can be regained with these application. To achieve patient satisfaction and successful treatment results, it is necessary to understand the components of an esthetically attractive smile. For this purpose, smile esthetics is important in modern dentistry. Esthetic smile design requires a multidisciplinary approach. More than one treatment may be required to achieve a harmonious smile, and these treatments should not be evaluated alone but in combination with each other With the increasing demand for esthetic treatment of individuals, studies aimed at increasing dental esthetics have accelerated. Research has been conducted on the esthetic perception of orthodontists, prostodontists, general practitioners and laypersons. As a result of these studies, it has been shown that dental and facial standards effect smile esthetics. It was concluded that not only the teeth but also the surrounding soft tissues should be in harmony for an esthetic smile. In addition, some standards such as aspect ratio, morphology, angulation, levels of gingival exposure, smile line and arch, buccal corridor, lip thickness golden ratio of teeth have been found to effect esthetic results. The purpose of this study is to investigate these parameters affecting the smile esthetics. Thus, more successful results will be obtained while getting the esthetics of smile
