Verilerin
istatistiksel değerlendirilmesi iki yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) testi ile
yapıldı.

Bulgular: Poliamid kaide maddesi grubunda;
(p>0.05).

Sonuç: Çalışma sonucunda, farklı tamir
materyalleri akrilik dişlerin farklı kaide materyallerine bağlanma
dayanımlarını etkilediği anlaşılmıştır.

EVALUATION THE BOND
STRENGTH OF ACRYLIC RESIN DENTURE TEETH TO DIFFERENT BASE MATERIALS

ABSTRACT

Aim The objective of
this study was to evaluate the effect of different repair materials on bond
strength of denture teeth with/ without retention grooves to different base
materials.

Materials and Methods: 30 heat-cured PMMA
and 30 polyamide; totally 60 disc- shaped base materials were used in this
study. As repair materials; heat-cured PMMA, autopolymerising PMMA, light-cured
denture resin repair materials were used. Also 60 acrylic resin denture teeth
with/ without retention groove were used.
The bonding strengths of the samples were
measured at a speed of 1 mm / min on a universal test machine. The data
obtained were statistically analyzed with two way-ANOVA.

Results: In polyamide denture base group,
shear bond strengths of light cured denture resin repair material was
statistically higher than heat- cured PMMA and autopolymerising PMMA groups
(p<0.001). Similarly in heat- cured PMMA denture base group, shear bond
strength of light cured denture repair material was higher than
autopolymerising PMMA and heat- cured PMMA subgroups but there was no
statistically significant difference between subgroups (p>0.05). Retention
groove of denture teeth doesn't affect subgroup's shear bond strengths
significantly except the polyamide base material repaired with light- cured
denture resin (p>0.05).

Conclusion: It was denture repair
materials tested in this study affect bond strength of denture teeth to
different base materials.
