Mandibular Üçüncü Molar Dişin Dev Paradental Kistinin Radyolojik Değerlendirmesi ve Cerrahi Tedavisi Olgu Sunumu

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 63 - 69, 01.06.2021

Abstract

: Paradental kistler; dişlerin servikal ve
distal yüzeylerinde embriyolojik dönemden
kalan epitel artıklarından gelişen kistlerden
biridir. Bu olgu sunumumuzda otuz yaşındaki
kadın hasta mandibular üçüncü molar dişinin
distalinden başlayarak mandibula ramusuna
kadar uzayan büyük radyolüsent lezyon için
dış merkezden fakültemize yönlendirilmiştir.
Hasta gerekli klinik ve radyolojik
değerlendirmeden sonra paradental kist ön
tanısı ile Ağız, Diş ve Çene Cerrahisi Anabilim
Dalı’na yönlendirilmiştir. Lezyon kaynağı olan
dişin çekimi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca kist oldukça
büyük bir hacme sahip olduğundan
dekompresyon tedavisine başlanmıştır.
Tedavisi yapılmayan perikoronal enfeksiyonlu
dişlerden paradental kist gelişebileceği ve bu
kistlerinde osteomyelite sebep olabileceği
unutulmamalı, tanı ve tedavisinde dikkatli
davranılmalıdır.

Radiologic Examination And Surgical Treatment of Huge Paradental Cyst Of Mandibular Third Molar Tooth Case Report

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 63 - 69, 01.06.2021

Abstract

Paradental cyst is one of the
cysts which develop from the epithelial
residues remaining from the embriyologic
period on the cervical and distal surfaces of the
teeth. In this case report, a thirty-year-old
female patient was referred from an external
center to our faculty owing to a large
radiolucent lesion locating from the distal of
the mandibular third molar tooth to the ramus
of the mandible. After the clinical and
radiological examination, the patient was
referred to the Department of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery with a pre-diagnosis of
paradentalcyst. The tooth associated with the
lesion was extracted. Furthermore since the
cyst has a large volume, decompression
treatment was started. It should be kept in
mind that paradental cysts may develop from
untreated pericoronal infected teeth and these
cysts may cause osteomyelitis. Therefore the
diagnosis and the treatment should be
considered carefully.
