This study aimed to determine the genetic diversity among 17 Phaseolus vulgaris populations collected from districts of Konya by SDS-PAGE. Seed storage protein profiles were scored visually as present (1) or absent (0). In all, 37 polypeptide bands of different sizes ranging from 14.4 to ~135 kDa were observed in the 17 Phaseolus vulgaris populations. Cluster analysis was performed using the UPGMA in Bio 1 D ++ computer program. Similarity among genotypes was estimated basing on Nei’s homology and a dendrogram was obtained. According to dendrogram, 17 populations belonging to Phaseolus vulgaris were similar in rates ranging from 68 to 100 %. While the highest similarity was found between Kanada (Çumra) and Sarnıç (Altınekin) genotypes, the most distant genotype was Sarhoş (Washington) (Derbent).
