Kemoterapi Alan Akciğer Kanserli Hastalarda Tat Değişiklerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma kemoterapi alan akciğer kanserli hastaların deneyimlediği tat değişikliklerini subjektif olarak değerlendirmek amacıyla planlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel olarak planlanan bu çalışma İstanbul ilinde bir eğitim araştırma hastanesinin kemoterapi ünitesinde Aralık- Mayıs 2021 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri tanımlayıcı bilgi formu, Kemoterapiye Bağlı Tat Alma Değişikliği Ölçeği (Chemotherapy-induced Taste Alteration Scale= CiTAS) ile toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Akciğer kanserli hastaların % 62.3’ünün tat değişikliği deneyimlediği, % 68.6’ sının tat değişikliğine yönelik sağlık profesyonellerinden bilgi almadığı, %35.8’inin tat değişimini metalik tat olarak tanımladığı, %35.8’inin tat değişikliğiyle baş etme yöntemi olarak yemekleri soğuk yedikleri saptanmıştır. Hastaların CiTAS ölçeğinin temel tatlarda azalma alt boyut ortalamasının 2.49±1.39; rahatsızlık alt boyut ortalamasının ve paraguzi and fantoguzi alt boyut ortalamasının 2.48±1.35; genel tat değişikliği alt boyut ortalamasının ise 2.49±1.36 olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Çalışmada kemoterapi alan akciğer kanserli hastaların yarıdan fazlasının sübjektif olarak tat değişikliklerini deneyimlediği, orta şiddette tat duyusunda değişiklik ve rahatsızlık yaşadıkları ve en çok tanımladıkları tat değişikliğinin metalik tat olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda sağlık profesyonellerinin akciğer kanserli hastaların yaşadıkları tat değişikliklerini farkında olması, niteliğini ve şiddetini değerlendirmesi, takip etmesi ve buna yönelik gerektiğinde interdisipliner yaklaşımla önleyici ve tedavi edici girişimlerde bulunulması önerilmektedir.
