Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Uzaktan Eğitime İlişkin Algıları ve Mobil Öğrenme Davranışları

Abstract

Giriş: Günümüzde gelişen eğitim teknolojileri ve öğretim metotları ile geleneksel yöntemlerden farklı olarak uzaktan eğitim ve mobil teknolojiler eğitimde sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır.
Amaç: Araştırma uzaktan eğitim alan hemşirelik öğrencilerinin mobil öğrenme davranışları ve uzaktan eğitime ilişkin algılarının belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı.
Yöntem: Bu çalışmada tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel türde araştırma deseni kullanıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini bir devlet üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümünde eğitim gören 481 hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturdu. Araştırma örneklemini ise güç analizine göre belirlenen 269 hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturdu. Veriler, Öğrenci Bilgi Formu, Uzaktan Eğitim Algı Ölçeği ve Mobil Öğrenme Hazır Bulunuşluk Ölçeği ile toplandı. Veriler Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis testi ve korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalamasının 20,77 ± 2,11 yıl ve %75,8'inin kadın olduğu belirlendi. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin Uzaktan Eğitim Algı düzeyi puan ortalaması 66,55 ± 7,74, Mobil Öğrenme Hazır Bulunuşluk düzeyleri puan ortalamaları 5,05 ± 1,13 olarak saptandı. Uzaktan Eğitim Algı Ölçeği ile Mobil Öğrenme Hazır Bulunuşluk Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında orta düzeyde ve pozitif yönde bir ilişki belirlendi (p < 0,05).
Sonuç: Araştırmada, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin uzaktan eğitime ilişkin algılarının orta düzeyde olduğu, mobil öğrenmeye hazır bulunuşluk düzeylerinin ise yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlendi.

Nursing Students' Perceptions of Distance Education and Mobile Learning Behaviors

Abstract

Introduction: Today, with the developing educational technologies and teaching methods, distance education and mobile technologies are frequently used in education, unlike traditional methods.
Aim: The research was conducted to determine the mobile learning behaviors and perceptions of distance education nursing students who received distance education.
Method: This study was conducted in descriptive and cross-sectional types. The population of the study consisted of 481 nursing students studying in the nursing department of a state university. The research sample consisted of 269 nursing students determined according to power analysis. Data were collected using a Student Information Form Distance Education Perception Scale and the Mobile Learning Readiness Scale. Data were evaluated with Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis test, and correlation analysis.
Results: It was determined that the mean age of the students was 20.77 ± 2.11 years and 75.8% of them were female. The mean score of the Distance Education Perception level of the students participating in the study was determined as 66.55 ± 7.74, and the mean score of Mobile Learning Readiness was 5.05 ± 1.13. A moderate and positive relationship was determined between Distance Education Perception Scale and Mobile Learning Readiness Scale (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that nursing students' perceptions of distance education were at a moderate level, and their readiness for mobile learning was at a high level.
