Abstract

Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) is a plant that was cultivated in China 4,000 years ago and is now widely distributed in Central Asia, Europe and Australia, especially in China. In this study, fruit set rates of 17 jujube genotypes determined from different locations of Denizli Province Çal District in 2021 and 2022. Experiments were planned with 3 replications for each genotype and 3 shoots in each replication. Fruit set rates were calculated by determining the number of flowers and fruit numbers in the shoot. As a result of the statistical evaluations, the difference between years was determined statistically significant (P≤0.0001) except the number of flowers in the shoot, and the highest data were obtained in 2021. The average number of flowers in the shoot, which was 10.70 and 56.10 in 2021, and 13.80 and 57.30 in 2022, changed between 1.20 and 4.00 and 0.50 and 1.60, respectively, according to years. When the fruit set rates are examined, the highest fruit set rate was determined as 17.47 % in genotype 11 in 2021, while the lowest fruit set rate was determined as 1,05% in genotype 28 in 2022. It was determined that the fruit set rate showed a significant and negative correlation with the number of flowers on the shoot, and a significant and positive correlation with the number of fruit set.
