Halk Sağlığı Hemşireliği Yaklaşımıyla COVID-19 Pandemisi

Abstract

COVID-19 henüz aşısı ve tedavisi olmayan acil bir halk sağlığı sorunudur. Pandemi yapmış olan hastalık sadece sağlık yönüyle değil sosyolojik, psikolojik, ekonomik ve kültürel yönüyle de birey ve toplumu derinden etkilemektedir. Yaygın olarak ateş, öksürük, kas ağrıları, yorgunluk, nefes darlığı, baş ağrısı, boğaz ağrısı ve gastrointestinal semptomlarla kendini gösteren hastalık, genel olarak damlacık ve temas yoluyla bulaşmaktadır. Yaşlılar, kardiyovasküler hastalığı olanlar, hipertansiyonlular, sigara içenler, mahkumlar, göçmenler ve engelliler COVID-19 için riskli gruplar arasındadır. Başta riskli gruplar olmak üzere tüm yaş gruplarının hastalıktan korunması ve erken tanısına yönelik çalışmaların etkin hale getirilmesi oldukça önemli görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda sağlık çalışanlarına ve toplumun her kesimiyle yakın ve uzun süreli iletişimde kalan halk sağlığı hemşirelerine büyük sorumluluk düşmektedir. Bu sorumlulukları ele alacak bir araştırmanın bu alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Ancak hastalığın çok yeni olması nedeniyle, halk sağlığı hemşireliği alanında COVID-19 pandemisine yönelik ulusal ve uluslararası boyutta araştırmalar yok denecek kadar azdır. Bu nedenle derlemenin kavramsal çatısı halk sağlığı hemşireliği bakış açısına odaklanan bir yaklaşımla oluşturuldu. Derlemenin içeriği COVID-19 epidemiyolojisi, hastalığın risk grupları, farklı yaşam dönemleri, dezavantajlı gruplar ve özel alanlarda COVID-19, hastalıktan korunma ve COVID-19’da halk sağlığı hemşireliği şeklinde oluşturuldu. Derlemenin amacı COVID-19 pandemisini halk sağlığı hemşireliği bakış açısıyla ele almaktır.
