Farklı Hasta Profiline Bakım Veren İki Hemşire Grubunun Kültürel Duyarlılık ve Farkındalıklarının Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Amaç: Araştırma, farklı hasta profiline bakım
veren iki hemşire grubunun kültürel duyarlılık ve farkındalıkların
karşılaştırılmak amacıyla yapıldı.



Gereç ve
Yöntem:
Araştırmanın evrenini,
Türkiye’nin batısında biri üniversite hastanesi diğeri ise yabancı uyruklu
hasta potansiyeli yüksek olan bir vakıf hastanesi olmak üzere iki hastanenin
hemşireleri oluşturdu. Evrenden örneklem seçimine gidilmedi ve çalışmaya
katılmaya gönüllü olan 91 hemşire üniversite hastanesinden, 88 hemşire ise
vakıf hastanesinden toplamda 179 hemşire çalışmaya katıldı. Etik kuruldan ve
her iki kurumdan izin alındı. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan tanımlayıcı
sorular, Kültürel Duyarlılık ve Kültürlerarası Farkındalık ölçekleri
aracılığıyla yüzyüze görüşme yöntemi ile toplandı.  Verilerin istatistiksel
değerlendirmesi SPSS 19’da tanımlayıcı istatistik ve bağımsız gruplarda t testi
ile yapıldı.



Bulgular: Araştırma bulgularına göre çoğunlukla
yabancı uyruklu hastalara bakım veren hemşirelerin kültürel
duyarlılık toplam ve alt boyut puan ortalamalarının;  kültürel farkındalık toplam puanları ve
alt boyutlardan var olan ve hissedilen kültürel farkındalık puan
ortalamalarının genel olarak yerel hastalara bakım veren hemşirelere göre istatistiksel
olarak analmlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu belirlendi (p<0.001). Ancak kültürel
farkındalık alt boyutlarından olan kültürel iletişim farkındalığı puan
ortalamaları arasında her iki grup hemşireler arasında istatistiksel olarak
anlamlı fark bulunmadı (p>0.05).



Sonuç ve Öneriler: Yabancı uyruklu
hastalara bakım veren hemşirelerin kültürel duyarlılık ve kültürel
farkındalıkları yerel hastalara bakım verenlere göre daha yüksek bulundu. Hemşirelerin
kültürel duyarlılık ve farkındalıklarını geliştirmeye yönelik planlamalar
yapılması önerilebilir.
