The war in Syria since 2010 has caused a
significant population movement by requiring the displacement of millions of
people. Due to its geographical proximity and its policy, Turkey is the country
that is most affected by this situation. Health is one of the most basic needs
that all individuals may need at any time. According to the regulation
published by AFAD and Ministry of Health, Syrian citizens can benefit from
hospitals and health centers in Turkey. The aim of this study is
to present the problems of Syrian asylum seekers during the health service
purchase and to evaluate the views of Turkey on health services. According
to this purpose, qualitative research method has been adopted and a district in
Konya province where Syrians are most located has been preferred as a research
area. Participants
were contacted by means of sampling the snowball. Data
were collected through a semi-structured form and then the results were
evaluated through thematic analysis. As a result of the research, participants
were pleased with the health services in Turkey and made positive evaluations.
However,
participants stated that there was a significant communication problem during
the health service purchase.
