Bariyatrik Cerrahide Reoperasyonlar

Abstract

Günümüzde obezite, bireyler ve sağlık hizmetleri açısından önemli etkileri olan ve her geçen gün hızla büyüyen bir krizdir. Bugün obezitenin tedavisinde kullanılan birçok yöntem ve uygulama söz konusudur. Ancak bariyatrik cerrahi, diğer modalitelere kıyasla, başarılı sonuçları ile hala etkili bir tedavi seçeneğidir. Buna karşın, cerrahi başarısızlığı ve/veya gelişen birtakım postoperatif sorun ve komplikasyonlar reoperatif cerrahiyi zorunlu hale getirmektedir. Bariyatrik cerrahide reoperasyonlar sanılanın aksine oldukça fazladır. Ne yazık ki, reoperatif cerrahi sağlık profesyonelleri ve kuruluşları tarafından sıklıkla göz ardı edilmektedir. Ayrıca ameliyat türüne bağlı olarak değişmekle birlikte reoperatif cerrahiye zemin hazırlayan birtakım olası risk faktörlerinden bahsedilir. Reoperatif cerrahi, teknik olarak zor ve karmaşıktır. Dolayısıyla hastalarda reoperatif cerrahiyi gerekli kılan risk faktörlerinin belirlenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Bu risk faktörleri, hasta ile ilgili değişkenler, cerrahiye ilişkin özellikler ve birtakım kurumsal farklılıklara bağlı olarak değişiklik gösterir. Bu noktada potansiyel risk faktörlerinin tespiti ve önlenmesine ilişkin belirlenecek stratejilerin, hemşirelik tedavi ve bakım süreçlerinde, hasta sonuçları üzerinde olumlu bir etkisinin olacağı açıktır. Bu derleme makalede, yeniden ameliyatların sıklıkla görüldüğü bariyatrik cerrahi işlemler ile reoperasyon süreçleri ve özelliklerinden bahsedilecektir.
