Farabi Medical Journal (Farabi Med J), the official journal of Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine, started its publication life in December 2022. It is published uninterruptedly and regularly as four issues per year in September, December, March and June. Original experimental and clinical research articles, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor prepared by scientists in the field of health sciences are published in the Farabi Medical Journal and shared with the scientific world. The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. It is a national peer-reviewed scientific journal. Submitted manuscripts are published with the decision of the editorial board after being evaluated by at least two double-blind reviewers. Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal should not have been previously published elsewhere and should not have been sent to any journal simultaneously for publication. No fee is charged during the application or publication process for the publications sent to the Farabi Medical Journal, and no royalties are paid to the authors for the published articles. The main purpose of the journal is to publish articles with high scientific level in all fields of health sciences, to enable readers to access the published articles and to contribute to the literature. Farabi Journal of Medicine publishes original experimental and clinical research articles by scientists in the field of health sciences, reviews prepared by scientists specialized in a particular subject, case reports and letters to the editor. Studies that are not suitable for the publication purpose of the journal can be rejected directly or sent back to the author in order to make them suitable for the purpose of publication and publication rules without being evaluated by the referee. Studies deemed appropriate for the purpose and scope of the journal enter the peer-review process simultaneously. The editor or assistant editor is authorized to suggest necessary corrections and changes during the preparation of the manuscripts submitted to the journal, in line with the comments and suggestions of the referees. After the necessary corrections/corrections are made in the simultaneous evaluation process, the study, which is arranged in accordance with the writing rules of the journal, is sent to the responsible author of the study for final printing approval.
