Abstract
Ömer Menekşe's study titled "The Rise of Seljuk Islamic Law" is a review of the history of law in general and the
history of Islamic law in particular. This work contributes to the field of Islamic legal history by examining the
Ascension Period, the brightest period of the Seljuks in terms of scientific and cultural life. The affairs of the Seljuks in the science of law, which have a vital role in Turkish-Islamic history, showed their impact in both social and political fields, and thus this period witnessed many developments in scientific activities. In this study, the understanding of Islamic law in the Ascension period, in which theSeljuks were at their scientific peak is discussed.

Abstract
Ömer Menekşe’nin ele aldığı “Selçuklu İslâm Hukuku Yükseliş Devri” çalışması genelde hukuk tarihi özelde ise İslâm Hukuk Tarihine dair bir araştırmadır. Eser, Selçukluların ilim ve kültür hayatı bakımından en parlak dönemi olan Yükseliş Devrini incelenmesi bakımından İslâm hukuk tarihi alanına katkı sağlayan bir çalışmadır. Türk-İslâm tarihinde önemli bir yeri olan Selçuklu Devleti’nin hukuk ilmine yönelik hizmetleri hem sosyal hem siyasal alanlarda etkisini göstermiş ve bu dönem ilmî faaliyetler hususunda birçok gelişmeye sahne olmuştur. Bu çalışmada müellif Selçukluların ilmi açıdan zirve çağını yaşadığı Yükseliş devrindeki İslâm hukuk anlayışını ele almıştır.
