Abstract
Lung
abscess is a serious infectious disease characterized by necrosis and
cavitation in the lung parenchyma. If rapid and accurate antibiotherapy is not
provided, mortality of the disease is high. Case 18 years old female patient.
Hospitalization and immunosuppressive disease are absent. She applied to the
clinic for complaints of fever, cough, night sweats and shortness of breath,
which lasted for about a month. The patient was hospitalized because of air
fluid level in the cavity on chest X-ray. Enterobacter cloacae was detected in
lung abscess culture. Ceftriaxone therapy was given for twenty-one days. The
findings of the chest X-ray improved and her complaints declined significantly,
and the patient was discharged healthily.
In
this article, it is aimed to present a case of pulmonary abscess with
Enterobacter cloacae associated cavitary lesion.

Abstract
Akciğer
absesi, akciğer parankiminde nekroz ve kavite oluşumuyla karakterize ciddi bir
enfeksiyondur. Hızlı ve doğru antibiyoterapi sağlanmadığı takdirde hastalığın
mortalitesi oldukça yüksektir. Olgu 18 yaşında kadın hasta. Hastane yatış
öyküsü ve immun sistemi baskılayan hastalığı yok. Yaklaşık bir aydır devam eden
ateş, öksürük, gece terlemesi, nefes darlığı şikayetiyle polikliniğe başvurdu.
Akciğer grafisinde kavite içinde hava sıvı seviyesi veren görüntü olması
üzerine yatışı yapıldı. Akciğer abse kültüründe Enterobacter cloacae tespit
edildi. Yirmi bir gün seftriakson tedavisi verildi. Akciğer grafi bulguları
düzelen ve şikayetleri anlamlı derecede gerileyen hasta sağlıklı bir şekilde
taburcu edildi. Bu yazıda Enterobacter cloacae’ye bağlı kaviter lezyonla
seyreden bir akciğer absesi olgusunun sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
