Evcil Hayvanların Önemli Coronavirüs Enfeksiyonları

Abstract

İnsanoğlu yaklaşık bir asır sonra etkisini tüm dünyada hissettiren viral bir pandemi ile karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Çin’de2019 yılı Aralık ayında varlığı tespit edilen ve son olarak Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV2)olarak adlandırılan yeni insan coronavirüs salgını, birkaç ay gibi kısa bir sürede pandemi seviyesine ulaşmıştır.Yapılan çalışmalar ışığında SARS-CoV2’nin yarasa ve pangolin coronavirüsleriyle yüksek benzerlik gösterdiğinin ortayakonulması ile SARS-CoV2, son yirmi yıl içerisinde yarasalardan köken alarak insanlara bulaşan ve salgınlara nedenolan üçüncü yeni coronavirüs olarak kayıtlara geçmiştir. Zoonotik özellikteki bu coronavirüslerin türler arası geçişözelliklerini nasıl kazandıkları hala gizemini korumasına rağmen, coronavirüslerin hayvanlarda yaptığı enfeksiyonlar,ortaya çıkardıkları klinik belirtiler, aşı uygulamaları, korunma ve mücadele yöntemleri açısından ciddi bir bilgi birikimibulunmaktadır. Tüm ülkelerin hastalıktan az veya çok etkilenmesi ve hatta bazı ülkelerin sağlık sistemlerinin veekonomilerinin çökme noktasına gelmesinden dolayı SARS-CoV2 ile birlikte insan ve hayvanlarda enfeksiyon meydanagetiren diğer coronavirüsler da dünyanın en önemli gündem maddesi haline gelmiştir. Bu derleme ile Coronaviridaeailesinde bulunan virüsler hakkında genel bilgilerin yanı sıra coronavirüslelerin konakçı spektrumu ve hayvanlardagörülen coronavirüs enfeksiyonları hakkında bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu sayede SARS-CoV2’nin daha iyianlaşılacağı düşünülmektedir.

The Important Coronavirus Infections of Domestic Animals

Abstract

Mankind faced a viral pandemic that made its impact felt all over the world almost a century later. The new humanepidemic known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2), which has been detected in Chinain December 2019, has reached the pandemic level in a few months. As a light of the studies, it was understood thatSARS-CoV2 showed high similarity with bat and pangolin coronaviruses. Three new coronaviruses have been identifiedin the last twenty years, which originated from bats, infecting humans and causing serious disease including theongoing SARS-CoV2 pandemic. Although how these zoonotic coronaviruses, acquire transmission between speciescharacteristics still remain mysterious, there is a significant amount of knowledge in terms of infections causedby coronaviruses in animals, clinical symptoms, vaccine applications, prevention and control methods. Since allcountries are more or less affected by the disease and even the health systems and economies of some countrieshave come to the point of collapse, other coronaviruses that cause infections in humans and animals have becomethe most important agenda item in the world. This review aims to provide general information about viruses in theCoronaviridae family, as well as the host spectrum of coronaviruses and coronavirus infections in animals. In this way,it is considered that SARS-CoV2 will be better understood.
